The BlackHill Barrow Boys take their name from the Black Hill Long Cairn or Barrow on the moors near Bradley, North Yorkshire. This is a Neolithic burial site of archeological importance. The view on the home page is from the Barrow towards Sharp Haw Hill in Skipton and on towards Settle. Below is an aerial view of Bradley and the Barrows which are in the bottom left of the picture - can you spot them?

The band members John (Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Keyboards, Blues Harp), Martyn (Bass, Guitar) and Jon (Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar, Squeezebox, Mandolin) have played together for many years in a number of different local bands including the Oddball Rock Band, the JW Band, the Big Heart Soul Band and the Bronte Blues Club 5 (BBC5) house band http://www.brontebluesclub.org.uk/. They are inspired by playing the best in folk, jazz and blues classics as well as writing a number of their own original compositions.
